Little Sister Lizzy

“I enjoy my Big Sister CeCe because she is very thoughtful. I like her because she makes me feel better on my bad days. I like her because we like the same stuff. I love the little sushi and bookstore dates we have! I love seeing her. I love cooking with her and most of all I love spending time with her.”

Gary & Dylan

Big Brother Gary and Little Dylan were matched five years ago, with Gary’s goal of providing opportunities to help guide a child’s path to success.

With Gary’s support and guidance, Dylan has blossomed from a child who barely looked up from the video game screen to a young man who participates in both baseball and football in-turn gaining self-confidence, new friends and focusing on academics.

Dylan wants to let those who are entering the mentorship program to remember the following: “Embrace every experience that you and your Big may have together. Listen and learn by example.”

Becky & Rylee

Becky and her Little Sister Rylee clicked from the instant they were matched together. In fact, they are so in tune, that Becky helped to identify Rylee’s dyslexia, because of this, Rylee is now engaged in tutoring and doing extremely well in school.

Becky and Rylee are very bonded, and Becky is an exceptional role model and prime example of what a Big Sister should exemplify. Rylee would like other children to know that “having a Big is one of the best things you could do for yourself. Your Big will help you be a better person.”

Little Brother Kyle

“Becoming a Little has opened my eyes to what a father could look like, and what a family can truly run like when everyone’s there and accountable.

Mike is an excellent role model in my life. He is a huge business person with lots of insight in the financial and executive world. I have been able to learn about business, and with Mike’s encouragement, decided to pursue business in college.“

Liam & Van

When our Mentoring Specialist Alison met Van, he was in 3rd grade and when asked him why he thought his mom wanted him to have a Big Brother he replied, “because I am sad all the time.”

A few weeks ago, Alison asked him how things were going and Van very enthusiastically announced, “Great! And I’m not sad anymore!!!!” He also said that meeting with his Big Brother Liam is the best part of school.
