10 Littles Receive a Bike and New Helmets Thanks to Revolution Bike and United Way!!
CHARLEVOIX, MI (July 2, 2015) – 10 kids in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Char/Em Program are thrilled to be among the 40 recipients to receive a bike and helmet thanks to Revolution Bike in Charlevoix and Char/Em United Way.
Chet Morris, owner of Revolution Bike of Charlevoix has helped make summer more fun for many local children for the 7th year in a row, with his Bikes for Kids Project. Morris worked with Char-Em United Way to get bikes into the hands of kids who might otherwise not afford them.
In collaboration with the Dept. of Health & Human Services and the Char/Em United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters was invited to take part this year.
“We had some very excited parents and kids beaming today as they received their bikes just in time to enjoy an active summer”, said Christie Ward-Strahan, Char/Em Case Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
