One Man. One Mission. One Extraordinary Superhero.
Sunday, May 3rd marks a monumental event for Bigs as Tony Anderson dons his imaginary cape, suits up in his Marathon4Kids gear, channels his inner superhero and sets out one last time to run the final 26.2 miles of a 1,336.2 marathon mile quest (that’s 51 marathons!!) to defend the potential inherent in every child.
With the finish line in sight, we hope you will join us (in the safety of your car) to cheer on Tony by:
- Choosing a spectator location or two (click here for locations and times)
- Turning on your car flashers
- Crafting a sign OR download a Marathon4Kids spectator sign listed below*
- Making as much noise as you can as he passes by – cowbells, bullhorns, bells, whistles and whatever you can think of!
As Tony nears each spectator location, he will be easy to spot! Just look for the flashing lights of the Michigan State Police, Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Department and City of Traverse City Police Department as they honorably escort Tony on this epic journey.
“Would I run 51 marathons to change the cycle of poverty for one kid? Absolutely, yes! There’s nothing more important the changing the cycle of poverty for one kid.” – Tony Anderson
