Hestia Women’s Giving Circle Helps Change Lives!
Traverse City, MI — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan (Bigs) received a $4,000 grant award from the Hestia Women’s Giving Circle. These funds will be utilized to support programming for young girls in Charlevoix and Emmet Counties.
“We are humbled by the generosity of the Hestia Women’s Giving Circle to support young women in the Charlevoix and Emmet area. These funds have not only helped us to add virtual programming to our platform allowing us to reach many more youth, but will allow these children the opportunity to be exposed to college, career focused resources and opportunities, empowering them to consider possibilities they never before imagined,” said Executive Director, Cecilia Chesney.
The Hestia Women’s Giving Circle is a group of nearly 100 focusing on the promotion of economic self-sufficiency and well-being for women and girls, which directly correlates to Bigs mission to ignite the power and promise of youth. The group strives to educate its members and the public about community needs and encourages women and girls to engage in active philanthropy.
