Shane was in 2nd grade, with a serious delinquency problem, missing as many as four days a week, and basically flunking out of school. That was until he was matched with his Big Brother Ron. One year later, Shane had perfect attendance at school!

Shane and Ron were matched for a little over two years before Shane moved out of town, but their relationship flourished for many years, keeping in touch through emails, phone calls and visits.

Last year, Shane moved back to the area for his senior year of high school and was invited to participate in a foreign exchange program in Argentina because of his excellent grades. After spending a year in Argentina, Shane proudly graduated with honors last spring and is thriving, largely due to the support and guidance of his Big Brother Ron.

Because of donors like you, more children have the opportunity to succeed just like Shane. There are currently 100 children on our waiting list hoping for a mentor. Please help us give each of these kids the opportunity to be mentored so that their future is as bright as Shane’s!
